I drank a shit-ton of caffeine, stretched, worked out, went out for a walk, ran a bit, cooked dinner, shaved and trimmed my beard.
I cleaned the fuck outta my room today. Dusted, vacuumed, wiped, decluttered, & consolidated a bunch of shit. That is all.
I DJ'd an outdoor wedding reception at a private residence on Saturday. It was my first event since the Covid-19 shelter-in-place order started in March. We took precautions to minimize spreading germs:
I forgot to write 2 blog posts this weekend, for Friday and Saturday, so I'm making these filler posts to make up for them instead of just a single post for Sunday night.
Friday, I was up late prepping music & notes for my event on Saturday and I forgot to post.
Just went thru emails, updated my calendar, made a couple phone calls, worked out at home, walked for a few miles, and rented Jojo Rabbit. Tomorrow I go back to work on this sumumabitch.
I took a break from inking today, and didn't do anything artsy at all, so here are a couple of videos I recorded yesterday of me filling in a mouth. That sounded dirty.
I did nothing artsy today but I did go groceries shopping, worked out at home, went on a 4 mile walk, then cooked dinner & ate. Tomorrow I'll get back to work on Hearts & Stars adding details.
As seen on Insta:
"Next Friday would have been the opening of my exhibit at the Martin Luther King Jr Library. The library is closed until further notice so there will be no exhibit but we might do something virtually over the interwebs at a later date."
I didn't do anything artsy all day so I started digitizing an old sketch on the iPad before bed. So far, it's not looking how I want it so I might erase and start over again tomorrow. So let it WIP...
I thought today was Thursday. It's actually Wednesday but it feels like Groundhog Day
I drew this the other day. I wasn't crazy about it at first but now it's kinda growing on me. I didn't draw or do anything creative today. Instead I spent a good chunk of the day figuring out approximately how many miles I drove in 2019 for business purposes. The number I came up with was 1,586.5 miles.
I took a break yesterday from the tax prep and doodled more EMN. (top) It looks a lot like my very first EMN drawing from a couple years ago. (bottom)
I had a really shitty day today. It also happened to be the 61 year anniversary of The Day The Music Died:
On February 3, 1959, American rock and roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper" J. P. Richardson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa, together with pilot Roger Peterson. The event later became known as "The Day the Music Died", after singer-songwriter Don McLean referred to it as such in his 1971 song "American Pie". (via Wikipedia)
I had few beers watching the 49ers beat the Packers in the Championship game, ate dinner, laid down to read some Preacher comics and passed out. Now I’m awake in the middle of the night. Maybe I should drink more beer, eat more food and read more comics to fall asleep again.
